Bachelors of Science (Hons) Agriculture

School ofAgriculture established in 2014. This school offers, undergraduate, postgraduate & Doctoral program in Agriculture. B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture(4-year course spread over 8 semesters) with an intake capacity of 120students. Under the co-education system, the students are admitted to thecourse after an entrance test conducted by the university. After going throughcommon and elective courses in Agriculture during the degree programme, we havein the course curriculum an exposure of the students in complete rural settingswhere the students will go and live along with farm families in the villagesand have the first-hand experience of their living, agricultural practices,difficulties and expectations. Students will be attached to anagriculture-based industry to acquaint themselves with post-harvest processingof agriculture produce and link agriculture production with industry. Thestudent shall also be registered for opting for two modules for skilldevelopment and entrepreneurship.

The school hashighly qualified teachers, well-equipped laboratories, classrooms and well laidout terraced student’s farm representing typical hilly terrain. Occasionalsnowfall during the winter adds to the beauty of the university campus andplaces it at a location that is marginal to temperate as well as sub-tropical agroclimatic conditions, thus enabling teaching and research under both thesituations.

 

Alongwith different agricultural practices, students were also made familiar withsome important experimentations like I) collection and preservation of soilsamples, II) preparation of vermicompost units in a university farm field andbioformulations of Zero Budget Natural Farmin Like Beejamrit, Ghanjeevamrit,Agniaster, Bhramaster, Neemaster).

Eligibility : Candidates having passed 10+2 with science and secured not less than 50 % marks in aggregate for general category and 45% for SC/ST who have qualified AUCET-2021. Candidates securing 50% marks in aggregate for general category (40% for SC/ST categories) who have appeared in state level entrance test conducted by CSKHPKVV, Palampur or Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Hoticulture and Forestry, Nauni (Solan).


Admission : Admission will be made on the basis of merit of entrance examination conducted by Abhilashi University (AUCET-2021) or CSKHPKV Palampur or Dr. Y. S. Parmar UHF Nauni (Solan), Himachal Pradesh.

Bachelors of Science Forestry

Duration: Four years (8 semesters)

Eligibility: Candidates having passed 10+2 with science and secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate for general category and 45% for SC/ST who have qualified AUCET-2021. Candidates securing 50% marks in aggregate for the general category (40% for SC/ST) who have appeared in state-level entrance test conducted by CSKHPKV, Palampur or Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni (Solan).

Two Years Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacist Training Course

The School of VeterinarySciences of Abhilashi University was established in 2016 till then school isdedicated to provide better learning facilities to the students, to give betterprofessionals to serve the society. The school of Veterinary Sciences has wellfurnished classrooms and tutorial rooms equipped with teaching tools for theeffective delivery of lectures and tutorials as per the requirements. Library,livestock handling laboratory, practical pharmacy, diagnostic and surgicaltools and instruments laboratories as per the educational program requirementsand norms of statutory bodies are available in the school.

A livestock Farm havingdifferent kinds of animals like cattle, sheep, goat etc managed by the schoolof Veterinary Sciences gives an opportunity to learn the handling andmanagement of healthy animals and treatment of ailing livestock brought fortreatment and milch livestock from farm as well as from the adjoining areas.
