Abhilashi Ayurvedic College and Research Institute (A Department of Abhilashi University)
Ayurveda is a system of medicine. When translated from Sanskrit, Ayurveda means ‘the science of life’. It provides us the knowledge of how to prevent disease and to eliminate the root cause if it does occur. The institute is situated at such a place, the surrounding of which is so picturesque that makes it more suitable for teaching and training of Ayurvedic Education and Research. The surrounding flora is rich in important medicinal plants. The institute is running Post-graduation level programme (MD) and graduation level programme (BAMS), which are recognized by National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM/AYUSH), Government of India. It is also running Diploma in Pharmacy (Ayurveda) course. Abhilashi Ayurvedic College and Research Institute has its own 100 bedded multi-specialty hospital, well-furnished pharmacy and a herbal garden of 2700 m2 are as with more than two hundred species of medicinal plants. In addition to Central Library, College has its own working library with more than 11,000 books and 15 journals related to Ayurveda.
Aims and objectives:
1. To promote the growth and development of Ayurveda.
2. To produce graduates who could efficiently serve in state Ayurvedic Health Services and also as Ayurvedic Practitioners.
3. To provide health care to patients by specialists of various fields of Ayurveda.
4. To co-ordinate with other State and National Health Services for providing complete health care.
5. To conduct “re-orientation” training programmes for Ayurvedic Physicians.
Programmes and activities:
i) Medical & Blood Donation Camps.
ii) Conferences, Seminars and workshops on various health related issues.
iii) Swachta Abhiyan and village adoption programmes.

HOSPITAL
Abhilashi University has its own 100 bedded multispecialty hospital. It provides the basic facilities for clinical training and research for students. The hospital has well equipped Operation Theatre and a Labour room. The Panchkarma and Ksharsutra facilities are well established. The hospital has laboratory investigation facilities of Blood, Urine, Stool, Biochemistry investigations, X-Ray, Ultrasound, ECG etc. Hospital has sufficient number of staff members i.e. Medical Specialists, Medical officers and other supporting staff as per NCISM norms.
