Agriculture degree will study Agronomy, Soil Science, Horticulture, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Animal Science, Extension Education, Plant Biochemistry, Agriculture Economics and Fundamentals of Biotechnology, among other subjects. The course is based on ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) recommendations and is intended to teach students how to improve crop production in a sustainable manner while also providing a broad understanding of agriculture and allied fields. After going through common and elective courses in Agriculture during the degree programme, we have in the course curriculum an exposure of the students in complete rural settings where the students will go and live along with farm families in the villages and have the first-hand experience of their living, agricultural practices, difficulties and expectations. Students will be attached to an agriculture-based industry to acquaint themselves with post-harvest processing of agriculture produce and link agriculture production with industry. The student shall also be registered for opting for two modules for skill development and entrepreneurship.

The school features highly skilled Professors, well-equipped laboratories, classrooms, and a well-planned terraced student farm that reflects the typical hilly terrain. Occasional snowfall in the winter enhances the campus appearance and situates it in an area that is intermediate between temperate and subtropical climatic zones, allowing for research and teaching in both scenarios.
